Why I travelled through Europe

Well that was fun:). I just returned from 3 great weeks travelling, exploring, pilgrimaging, learning and experiencing some of the lands where my ancestors used to roam, in Ireland, England and the south of France.

How did I know where to go? Well, it was a mixture of intuitive guidance, synchronicity, partner researching and genetic/DNA testing. Once I knew where my roots came from, the call just got loud suddenly.

It was this time last year, when I purchased a 23 and me DNA testing kit and that confirmed what I already knew plus also revealed new information to me.

I was on the hunt. Determined to learn a little bit more about me. As part of this 2.5 year soul remembering pilgrimage I’ve been on, this trip to see where my roots come from made it feel complete.

See it started with a bit of a dare against my subconscious mind - to listen entirely to the whispers and guiding wisdom of my heart and my intuition. But that was to be for just one year. 2.5 years later I found myself in tears, with the knowing that on the beach known as Saint Marie de la Mer, the south of France, the circle was complete and I would be on my way to the next phase of my career, and coming back to the place I love to call home - Vancouver Island, BC, Canada!

And so here I sit, typing away looking out my window at the most beautiful vibrant green trees popping against a robins egg blue sky, remembering these last weeks of my journey with love in my heart and that sweet smile in my eyes. It is time to begin something new.
