Get Active with your Co-Workers!✨
GET ACTIVE WITH YOUR CO-WORKERS!
Move. Connect. Laugh. Explore.
What if getting healthier at work didn’t mean becoming “fitter” than everyone else?
What if it simply meant finding more ways to move, connect and enjoy being together?
Workplaces bring together all kinds of people. Some love running. Some prefer walking. Some enjoy yoga or cycling. Some are returning to activity after time away. Some live with injuries or physical limitations. Some have lots of energy. Others may need something slower.
And some people simply don’t think of themselves as “fitness people” at all.
That’s completely okay.
Movement belongs to everyone.
FIND YOUR WAYS!!
Getting active with co-workers doesn’t have to mean joining a gym, running a race or following the same workout.
It could be:
A walk around the block.
A few stretches between meetings.
A gentle mobility session.
A lunchtime dance break.
A nature walk.
A bike ride.
A few minutes of breathing and movement.
A yoga class.
A hike or outdoor adventure.
Or simply stepping outside together for some fresh air and conversation.
The important part isn’t what you do.
It’s finding something that feels good, accessible and enjoyable for the people taking part.
PARTICIPATION OVER PERFORMANCE
Workplace wellness works best when people don’t feel pressured to compete, keep up or prove themselves.
Instead, create opportunities where everyone can choose their own level of participation.
One person might walk briskly.
Another might stroll.
Someone might use mobility exercises.
Someone else might take a seated option.
One person may want a challenge.
Another may simply want ten quiet minutes outdoors.
All of those choices count.
There is no single definition of being active, healthy or well.
MOVE TOGETHER. CONNECT NATURALLY.
Something wonderful can happen when we change the setting.
A meeting becomes a walk.
A coffee break becomes a stretch.
A conversation happens outside instead of across a desk.
People discover common interests.
Someone who rarely speaks in meetings may become the person who knows the best trail.
Someone else may introduce the group to yoga.
Another may organize the weekly walk.
Suddenly, movement becomes more than exercise.
It becomes connection.
And connection can be one of the simplest ways to make a workplace feel more human.
CREATE A WORKPLACE WHERE MOVEMENT BELONGS TO EVERYONE
Start small.
Ask your co-workers what they would actually enjoy.
Offer choices rather than expectations.
Make activities adaptable.
Celebrate participation rather than performance.
And remember that accessibility isn’t about making everyone do the same thing — it’s about creating opportunities for people to participate in ways that work for them.
Try:
WALK • STRETCH • BREATHE • PLAY • EXPLORE
Maybe your team takes a 15-minute lunchtime walk.
Maybe Friday becomes an outdoor movement day.
Maybe you begin meetings with two minutes of movement.
Maybe your workplace creates a monthly adventure.
Or maybe you simply encourage one another to get up, move around and enjoy a little more of the world outside the screen.
There is no perfect formula.
Start where you are. Move in ways that work for you. And invite others along.
