WILDSEADS — A Family Thread of Creativity

This season is a big one for WILDSEADS, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m adding a tonne of new designs to the shop and continuing to grow what started as a simple but powerful idea: turning my original artwork into wearable pieces that people can move through the world in.

Honestly… yay to me for starting this. And an even bigger yay to the incredible women in my family who helped shape the creative path that led me here.

Design, clothing, and creativity have always been part of our story.

My mum began it years ago by creating clothing and even starting a shop in Victoria, BC, on Johnson Street called Paradise Cove. The shop eventually became something my sisters carried forward, running it themselves and building it into a vibrant creative space for clothing and design. While Paradise has since closed, the spirit of it absolutely lives on through all of us and the things we continue to create.

My sister Dani is now a highly recognized designer known for her own incredible work—one-of-a-kind upcycled designer dresses and skirts that transform materials into entirely new pieces of wearable art as well as continuing a legacy of awesomeness by carrying on my Mum’s swimwear line. She runs an incredibly in demand boutique both online and at her studio, called Ola Dubois.

My big sister Rosebud is also a clothing maven in her own right. Alongside Dani, she helped run Paradise after my mum retired, carrying the shop forward and continuing the family tradition of creative entrepreneurship.

For me, the magic comes from seeing my original artwork move off the page and onto real objects—tights, bags, shoes, and activewear. There’s something incredibly joyful about watching art become part of someone’s everyday life.

And this is just the beginning.

Next, I’ll be recreating many designs in brand-new colours, expanding the collections even further. You’ll also start seeing new pieces featuring my ROSES imagery and my PUMAS designs.
